Executive Medical Spa offers compounded semaglutide, a GLP-1 medication, to our patients, which is legally allowed due to semaglutide listed on the FDA shortage list as of this writing (June 2023). Compounding pharmacies play a vital role in the US healthcare system, as they have the capability to create medications from raw materials, enabling them to customize the dosage for each patient. With compounded semaglutide injections or dissolvable tablets, the dosage can be incrementally adjusted, providing a flexible approach to treatment. This approach allows for a balance between managing side effects and achieving weight loss goals, as the dose can be increased gradually, taking into account the patient's response. Executive Medical Spa only works with legitimate pharmacies that are in alliance with the goals of Alliance of Pharmacy Compounding, regulated by the state Board of Pharmacy, and have frequent inspections for sterile processing.
